Screen advertising, with proof

Your screen
is alive

Manage the content on your screens in any city from a single panel. The screen recognizes who's standing in front of it, plays with them, and hands the advertiser proof of everything that happened.

The problem

Today, a screen is just an expensive poster

The advertiser pays for weeks of airtime and gets, at best, a photo of the content once it went up. They don't know how many times it played, who was watching, or whether anyone reacted. When renewal time comes, there's nothing to point to.

Without Pixee

  • Content changes by physically visiting each site with a USB drive.
  • The same piece plays for everyone, at every hour.
  • Audience is estimated from the venue's overall foot traffic.
  • Whoever walks past the screen leaves no trace at all.
  • The report to the client is a promise, not verifiable data.

With Pixee

  • Content is scheduled remotely for one screen, a group, or the whole network.
  • The piece shown is chosen by who's actually watching right now.
  • Audience is measured on the device itself, minute by minute.
  • A QR code turns the passerby into a player — and into data.
  • The report comes with a play-out record backed by an integrity hash.

From box to report

Four steps, in that order

Each step depends on the one before it: a screen measures nothing until it's linked, and there's no report until there are real play-outs to report on.

01

Link

The device opens a web address and shows a six-character code. You register it in the panel and it's linked. Any TV, tablet, or computer with a browser works — nothing to install.

02

Schedule

You build content playlists and assign them to a single screen or an entire group. Each piece can carry rules for time of day, day of the week, and audience type.

03

Measure and adapt

The camera estimates how many people are there, their gender, and their age range. The playlist reacts on its own — the piece built for that audience plays first.

04

Activate and prove it

The QR code opens a game or a campaign microsite. Everything the person does is attributed to the exact screen that triggered it, and shows up in the advertiser's report.

Capabilities

What sets Pixee apart

Operations

An entire network from one panel

Screens grouped by city, by format, or by client. Schedule once and the change reaches all of them. The media library takes images, video, and embedded web pages, and the player keeps working even if a site loses its internet connection: it caches the last playlist and reconnects on its own.

Benefit: changing a campaign no longer costs a trip to every point of sale.
  • Link by code. Six characters, no app, no install — just the browser the team already has.
  • Rules by time slot and day. Breakfast doesn't compete with dinner; weekends get their own playlist.
  • Clear priority. Whatever is assigned to a specific screen overrides whatever is assigned to its group.
  • Live status. You know which screens are online and which one stopped responding.

Audience

The screen recognizes its audience

A regular camera estimates, in real time, how many people are in front of the screen, their gender and age range, and how closely they're watching. That reading does two things: it feeds the audience report, and it changes the content on the spot.

Benefit: advertisers stop paying for generic impressions and start paying for relevant reach.
  • Demographic rules. “If most viewers are women aged 26 to 35, prioritize this piece.” Also works to skip content that doesn't apply.
  • Hour-by-hour curve. See the real peak hours for each site, not the whole mall's.
  • Works without a camera too. If a site has no camera or doesn't allow one, the screen still runs — demographic rules simply don't apply there.

Interaction

From bystander to participant

A QR code on the ad turns the phone into a controller and the screen into a shared stage. Whoever wins gets a coupon with a unique code, redeemable at the point of sale, with controlled stock so a promotion never hands out more prizes than agreed.

Benefit: the screen stops just building recall and starts driving visits and contact data.
  • Six games, ready to go, configurable per campaign, with a prize and a live ranking on the screen.
  • Campaign microsites. The same QR code can open a small advertiser page with a contact form.
  • Exact attribution. Every scroll, click, and submitted form is tied to the screen, campaign, piece, and exact play-out that triggered it.

Evidence

The proof advertisers were asking for

The proof-of-play report answers what a client asks at renewal time: how many times it aired, how long it stayed on air, on which screens and in which cities, how much of the agreed target was met, and what people did after seeing the ad.

Benefit: renewal gets negotiated with verifiable data instead of trust.
  • Play-out records backed by an integrity hash: if a single row in the report changes, the hash changes and the client notices.
  • Full QR funnel from scan to halfway down the page, full page view, call-to-action click, and submitted form.
  • Target vs. actual per campaign, with CSV export and a view ready to print or send as a PDF.
  • Role-based access. Advertisers sign in with their own account and see only their own campaigns.

The six games

The phone is the controller; the screen is the stage

Every game works with nothing to install: the person scans, types a nickname, and they're already playing. The screen keeps score, so results can't be altered from the phone.

Trivia

Lightning Trivia

Brand questions against the clock. Getting it right scores; answering fast scores more. Live ranking between questions.

Luck

Prize Wheel

Each participant gets one spin. The advertiser sets the prizes and their odds, with real stock tracked per prize.

Reflex

Reflex Challenge

A target appears on screen and whoever taps first wins. Jumping the gun costs points, so players actually have to watch.

Racing

Pixee Race

One lane per player, one shared finish line: tap to advance. Perfect for a group in front of the screen.

Skill

Catch the Pixel

Objects fall that add points, and bombs that subtract them. Each player moves their basket with a thumb for the whole round.

Motion

Gyro Maze

Steered by tilting the phone, using its gyroscope. If the device doesn't support it, an on-screen D-pad appears instead.

Trust

Privacy by design, not by promise

Not a single frame ever leaves the screen

Audience analysis happens on the device itself. The camera image is processed there and discarded; the only thing that travels to the platform is aggregated per-minute figures: how many people, what gender and age mix, how much attention. No faces are stored, no video is transmitted, no one is identified. It's the difference between measuring an audience and surveilling an individual.

CameraOn-device analysisImagePer-minute figures only
  • Every screen has its own secret key. Without it, nothing can report play-outs or audience under its name — so the advertiser's report can't be inflated from the outside.
  • Role-based permissions in the database, not just the interface: even if someone tampers with the browser, other clients' data stays out of reach.
  • An audit trail of who created, changed, or deleted each thing, with no way to edit or erase it.
  • Coupons with controlled stock and one prize per participant: a promotion can never hand out more than planned.

Who it's for

Three benefits, three different stakeholders

Network operator

Sells what you already have, better

  • Runs every site without traveling to it.
  • Raises the value of the inventory: stops selling screen time and starts selling measured audience.
  • Renews contracts on evidence, not on relationships.
  • Gives each client their own login, at no extra work.

Advertiser

Finally knows what they bought

  • Sees real impressions, not venue-wide estimates.
  • Checks compliance against what was agreed.
  • Measures impact: scans, interactions, and captured contacts.
  • Verifies the report hasn't been tampered with.

Point of sale

Turns foot traffic into visits

  • The game stops people in front of the screen.
  • The coupon brings that person to the counter.
  • The microsite captures contacts with consent.
  • Content adapts to whoever's around at that hour.

Technology

Decisions the client actually notices

This isn't a list of tools picked because they're trendy: every piece is chosen for what it solves on the business side.

BrowserThe player runs on standard web tech. Any device with a browser can be a screen, and there's no proprietary hardware fleet to maintain.
Real timeChanges reach the screen without a reload, and games sync the phone with the screen at the same instant.
On-device analysisAudience detection runs on the device itself. No video upload, no cloud processing cost, no latency.
Permissions in the databaseIsolation between clients is enforced by the data engine. A bug in the interface can't expose another advertiser's information.
Integrity hashEvery play-out record carries a cryptographic hash of the rows behind it, so the advertiser can verify the report hasn't changed.
Managed cloudContinuous deployment and on-demand scaling, with no servers of your own to run in every city.

Your screen
is alive

The platform is deployed and ready to explore with real data: screens across several cities, campaigns from different advertisers, and reports already populated.
